The Paṭṭhāna — Jewel of Buddhist Philosophy (Video)

The Patthana is traditionally regarded as the Jewel of Buddhist Philosophy. It is a system of 24 principles that function like grammatical rules of insight. These are “applied” to the 4 Paramatthā — The 4 foundational principles of the Abhidhamma (Buddhist Philosophy). In this Video I give a complete overview over these 24 principles, interpreted in a modern way, to make them practically relevant.

For an in-depth exploration, I recommend reading my book, “Paramattha: A Guidebook for Consciousness and a Modern Exploration of Ancient Buddhist Abhidhamma” (available for free in the books section (https://highermindart.info/books) ). I also suggest watching my video, The Four Paramattha of Buddhist Philosophy.”
